Showbiz Presents: The Next Step

Classes To Help Take You From Competition to Career

Showbiz is very proud to offer a one day accelerated training program that focuses on the opportunities for a dancer off the competition stage. Each and every dancer will gain insight on what "The Next Step" truly can be!

Showbiz: The Next Step gives dancers a realistic look into stepping into the professional world by presenting each class as an audition. A Casting Director, Industry Professional, or our very own seasoned instructors will observe dancers in class throughout the day and at the Awards, present a list of dancers who should return to the private callback. The question becomes... will you make it to THE NEXT STEP?!

This convention and experience is like no other. It has been specifically created to show dancers that you can actively excel in this business by working hard and understanding the audition process. This all-day immersive audition will provide useful training as opposed to regurgitated choreography.

Your classes will be led by instructors who are professional dancers and choreographers actively working and persevering in today's industry across the nation. Dancers will receive classes similar to what is taught in professional auditions. Our faculty, who grew up dancing at Showbiz, are now fully booked dancers and choreographers in the industry. This faculty takes great pride in knowing how to work with children and presenting a class experience that is educational, informative, and fun!

We look forward to providing a day of training that will help dancers better understand the process of making that leap into the professional world. Come join us and become better prepared to take THE NEXT STEP!

Advice

Be yourself! Don’t try to be who you think casting directors/choreographers are looking for. Be yourself because that, in itself, is unique!

Get used to being told “NO” and being okay with that. This industry is hard, however, it can be very rewarding. All that “NO” means to me is “Next Opportunity” because there will be plenty!

Be a good and genuine person always. You never know who is watching! That could be the difference between you booking a job or casting going in another direction.

Brain Davis
Hip-Hop

Brian Davis grew up and trained in Miami before moving to Los Angeles to pursue a career in the commercial dance industry. Brian has performed with Janet Jackson, FKA Twigs, Anitta and Luis Fonsi and has toured the world as a dancer with the rock band MUSE. Brian has also choreographed for Alyson Stoner and has taught master hip hop classes at Broadway Dance Center, Millennium Dance Complex, and studios across the country.
